We all know it, I love textiles and I love surface pattern design. Many years ago I designed the Zebra indoor tent and when looking through my designs for a pattern that I can cut in vinyl I realised the zebra could be be modified for a comeback in this medium.

So, I made the creative director a stretchy headband while she was at school testing out the design using my Silhouette Cameo to cut the design and Cricut Adhesive Foil Metallic Rose Gold Rose Gold on my white UPF50+ fabric.

It turned out better than I expected. I had not dared hope that the foil would be able to cope with the stretch of the fabric and it does, incredibly well.  There is not a crack or peel-back in sight (despite my excessive stretching to test the outcome).

Now what to do with the newfound use for foil?

Want to see me test out more textile design solutions let me know and you never know your suggestion may bet a blog post or video.
