Frequently Asked Questions

Wall stickers are hand cut and made from opaque white 100% polyester material with adhesive backing. The stickers are eco-friendly and formaldehyde-, phthalate-, and PVC-free.

Peel and stick application on suitable smooth surfaces (please test on your walls to ensure they will work effectively as some new paints have non-stick ingredients such as teflon). Can be repositioned during installation.

To clean gently wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid the use of cleaners or rubbing as this can can cause colour to lift.

This product ships from Sydney, Australia within 12 business days of ordering. Time in transit will vary based on postage method selected and your location. In addition unpredictable factors including postal delays, delays in destination country customs and production delays may impact on timeframes.

For international orders, please be aware that you may need to pay additional fees such as duties or taxes when you receive the product. This is dependent upon the country taking delivery so please check the customs and import rules for your country for more information.

Where are the teepees made?

Each teepee is handmade by Joyjoie in her studio, as such while in quality, design and construction the same, slight variations will occur, this is one of the joys of handmade items they are all unique and have their own personality and irregularities are part of the handmade appeal. Each teepee’s installation is tested before sending so you can be sure it works.

What is the fabric you use for the tepee?

The standard teepee skin is made from 100% cotton drill. It is nice and soft while maintaining a nice firm look. There are exceptions to this when I find a particularly lovely fabric to make into a teepee skin. I will always let you know if you have ordered a “special” tipi that is made from something other than cotton drill.

Can you make a plain teepee?

The minimalist teepee is as plain as they come and can be made in a range of solid fabric colours as well as the standard cream or white options.

Can I have my child’s name on the teepee?

Sure, there a few options for how we incorporate the name into the overall design so please contact me for options.

Can the teepee be washed?

Absolutely, I do however recommend spot cleaning for as long as you can. It’s a big ironing job! If you do find that a full wash is required please follow the care instructions on the label of your teepee.

Can I change the position or number of windows?

Yes. Extra windows or no windows, it is up to you. Extra windows incur a small fee.

Is it available in another size?

There are two sizes of joyjoie teepee. The regular size is about 1sqm base and about 1.7m height while the larger size (family size) is about 1.4sqm in the base and about 2.2 m high. The family size is only availavble in certain styles. I also make a smaller pet teepee.

Is it easy to setup?

It is easy and fast to setup a joyjoie teepee. You get a photographed instruction book with your teepee and it only takes a few minutes to put up.

Do you supply the poles

To make shipping simple, poles are not supplied with the teepee. When you make your purchase I advise the dimensions and they can be obtained as a standard size from your local hardware store (in Australia at least). Overseas buyers please make sure you can acquire the poles before purchase.

Can I use the teepee outside?

The teepees are for indoor use.

Are there any poles on the floor?

The joyjoie teepee’s unique construction has been designed with practicality in mind and the poles are enclosed to the floor so that they cannot be accessed by little fingers or scratch floors. There are also no poles across the floor.
