6 weeks to Christmas

There is something wonderful about making gifts for Christmas. I always used to make my dad shoe cleaning mini-cushions (I wonder where they all went?), it was completely ridiculous as I cannot actually ever remember him wearing anything but desert boots.

Now I generally buy presents and instead pour my energy into making the wrapping special. One year it was ribbonesia reindeer on every gift. This year I am undecided between mini bunting garlands on each box or furoshiki wrapping for all. I think samples of each are going to be needed in order to decide...

In the mean time I am busy making handmade gifts for other people to give to their children, nieces, grandchildren and treasured friends.

Now I wont tell you how long it takes to make each teepee but when I say handmade that means I do pretty much everything but weave the fabric so it takes time. That being the case - and given the volume of orders coming in - please remember to order early if you are planning on a play tent gift this Christmas. I am still working on up to 21 days for delivery of custom orders and have some ready to ship items that can be sent on my regular visits to the Post Office.

As always please contact me with your special requests, this weeks variations have included modified secret forest teepee's, curtains, wall art components for the secret forest, internal storage pockets, matching bunting, matching toadstool cushions and more. So make the most of handmade and customise a teepee to your needs. There is still time for it to arrive in time for Christmas!

Also a special note for Sydney readers, the venue for this weekends Mathilda's Markets has changed. It will now be at: Sydney Boys High School Anzac Parade, Surry Hills Entry via Sir Roden Cutler Gates (Gate 9) Hope to see you there!
